ETI announces new buildings project

The ETI is seeking experts to identify cost effective strategies to reduce domestic energy consumption

The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) wants to establish a team of experts to form a consortium that will identify cost effective strategies to reduce domestic energy consumption.

The heating, cooling and ventilation of the UK's 26 million homes currently accounts for about one-third of the country's total CO2 emissions. Approximately 21 million of these will still be in existence in 2050 and so need extensive refurbishment to improve energy efficiency.

It's important, therefore, to hear from a consortium of individuals with as wide a range of expertise in varying sectors of the built environment to determine how best to meet the challenges we face.

ETI is hosting a session in Loughborough on 17 September, please visit The Energy Technologies Institute Websitehere
